Searching for the Church, the Body of Christ

I am 74 years old. My daughter and I received the Lord Jesus in 1973.

The Lord led us to a Brethren Church in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. We lived there until 1980.

We enjoyed very much the teaching of the Scriptures, the Body of the Lord and the wonderful books by Watchman Nee, which I believe were written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

My daughter was persecuted by the Communist Romanian government for being a Christian. So in 1980 we decided to immigrate to the United States of America.

As soon as we were established in Southern California, we looked for a church with the same teaching we already had. In our search we found the local church, the church that we had longed for. In this blessed church, we found not only the teaching of Watchman Nee, but also that of his co-worker Witness Lee.

We very much love these Christian brothers because they followed the teaching of the Apostles in the New Testament. Witness Lee teaches us word by word from the Bible. I have learned that all believers in Christ are in the Body of Christ, we believers are one, and the Lord, whom we are waiting for, is our Head.
